moa Technology has secured £35m in a Series B funding round co-led by Lansdowne Partners, Oxford Science Enterprises, and Parkwalk Advisors. Additional participation came from BGF Investments, Bits x Bites Growth Fund, IP Group, and the University of Oxford. The capital will be directed towards advancing the company pipeline of crop protection products and expanding its high-throughput screening platforms to combat growing global weed resistance.
Spun out of Oxford University, the company applies plant-led approaches and proprietary discovery platforms to identify novel modes of action for herbicides. The fresh financing will support commercial opportunities and help bring new sustainable solutions to agricultural markets.
From the founder
"Global agriculture needs a new Green Revolution if we are to feed the world sustainably. Being able to control weeds is critical to both yield and the cost of production in most crops and new herbicide modes of action are essential. It’s very exciting to see moa starting to play its part in this new revolution by advancing so far in such little time."
