MixRift builds mixed reality games tailored for modern headsets such as the Apple Vision Pro and Meta Quest 3.
MixRift has secured $1.6m in pre-seed funding to build out its mixed reality gaming portfolio. The round was led by SOSV, Outsized, and Underline. The capital will support ongoing game development and new title releases scheduled for later this year.
The studio was established by industry veterans including Bobby Voicu, David Pripas, and Andrei Vaduva, who previously built the gaming company MavenHut. The founders are combining their background in traditional gaming with augmented reality prototyping to address a shortage of compelling software for devices like the Meta Quest 3 and Apple Vision Pro.
