Mission Zero Technologies secures £21.8m in Series A funding to scale direct air capture technology
The funding round was led by 2150 to accelerate the development of mass deployable carbon removal products.
Mission Zero Technologies develops modular direct air capture technology that removes carbon dioxide from the atmosphere to create sustainable alternatives to fossil fuels.
London based direct air capture developer Mission Zero Technologies has raised £21.8m in a Series A funding round. The investment was led by 2150, with backing from World Fund, Fortescue, Siemens Financial Services, and Breakthrough Energy Ventures.
The capital will support the company as it accelerates the development of a mass deployable direct air capture product designed to recover 1,000 tonnes of atmospheric carbon dioxide annually. This latest round follows the deployment of the UK's first commercial direct air capture plant in late 2023.
Founded in 2020, the firm uses electrochemical separation and modular design to capture and concentrate carbon dioxide for various industrial applications, including sustainable aviation fuel and building materials.
