Mission Therapeutics raises £12m in Series C funding led by Pfizer Ventures to advance its enzyme platform.
The financing round was led by Pfizer Ventures and accompanied by pro-rata contributions from existing investors.
Mission Therapeutics is a drug discovery and development company based in Cambridge that focuses on selectively inhibiting deubiquitylating enzymes. The firm targets the ubiquitin pathway to address conditions such as kidney disease, fibrosis, and neurodegenerative disorders.
Mission Therapeutics has secured £12m in a Series C equity financing round led by longstanding backer Pfizer Ventures. The fresh capital will be directed towards advancing the company proprietary deubiquitylating enzyme platform and expanding its pipeline of inhibitor programmes. Alongside the investment, the company has broadened its commercial relationship with Pfizer by entering into a separate evaluation and option agreement for target validation.
