Mesma secures £100k pre-seed funding from NEL Fund Managers to scale its software platform
The Sunderland-based software developer has raised six figures from NEL Fund Managers to expand its client base and drive product development.
Mesma develops quality assurance and improvement software for clients in the technical and vocational education sectors. Its insightQ platform helps organisations evaluate their activities and direct resources effectively.
Mesma has secured £100k in pre-seed funding from NEL Fund Managers to scale its operations and expand its client base. The Sunderland-based software developer plans to increase its user numbers to more than one thousand organisations over the next three years, while creating new roles for young people.
Founded in 2013, the company provides quality assurance tools such as its insightQ application, which is currently used by around 400 educational institutions and training providers across the UK. The new capital will support further product development, including enhanced software architecture and data analytics, alongside increased marketing and business development activities.
NEL Fund Managers provided the six-figure investment through the North East Small Loan Fund. The funding will also pave the way for Mesma to target new domestic and international markets in the medium term.
