Mendelian secures over £500k in grant funding from Innovate UK to build diagnostic screening solutions for general practitioners.

Mendelian is a healthtech startup based in London that builds screening systems to help clinicians identify patients with rare or hard to diagnose conditions. Its technology analyses medical records to flag potential cases early in the patient journey.
Mendelian has secured a grant of over £500k from Innovate UK as part of a total project budget of £940k. The funding will support the development and deployment of the company software designed to assist general practitioners in identifying patients with rare or difficult to diagnose diseases within the NHS.
The project is currently running a trial in Hertfordshire in partnership with the Eastern Academic Health Science Network and the NHS East and North Hertfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group. Following the initial trial, the company plans to explore broader rollouts across the UK and internationally.
