Meeow operates an artificial intelligence powered video networking platform that connects users globally in small groups. The service facilitates continuous virtual networking through structured hourly sessions.

Yorkshire based video networking platform Meeow has secured £150k in a pre-seed investment round. The capital was provided by high profile angel investors Chris Craig-Wood, Greg Gormley and Nigel Ashfield. The funds will be directed towards platform development and global marketing expansion.

Created during lockdown by co-founders Simon Glenn and Chris Rabbitt, Meeow uses artificial intelligence to match subscribers for hourly networking sessions. The recent injection of capital follows the late March launch of the subscription platform. The newly appointed backers will also advise the company on an upcoming £500k fundraising round planned for the summer.

From the founder

"We are overwhelmed by the level of investment we’ve received from three very high-profile and experienced businesspeople. While the investors will be “hands-off” in terms of the day-to-day operation of the business, they will still play a key role in the future of the business."
