London-based biotech firm MediSieve has secured £1.8m in a funding round led by 24Haymarket. The capital will be directed towards conducting first-in-man clinical trials to evaluate the safety and efficacy of the company's IL-6 filtration product.
MediSieve has advanced its magnetic blood filtration platform, which targets pathogens and toxins in the bloodstream. The latest injection of funds follows a productive period for the company, which recently transitioned into a dedicated laboratory space and secured a UKRI COVID-19 grant to support its ongoing research programme.
