Mallows Beauty has secured a six figure equity investment from the Development Bank of Wales to fund its entry into Superdrug stores and prepare for expansion into the United States. This transaction marks the third time the Development Bank has backed the company since its founding, bringing the total funding package secured from the investor to over £1m.
Founded in 2020 by Laura Mallows, the Llantrisant enterprise employs 25 people and reported a run-rate revenue of more than £5m for the 2023 to 2024 period. Its product range includes shave butter, hair care, body scrubs, and razors, which are stocked by retailers including Oliver Bonas and Beauty Bay.
The latest capital injection will support the company as it scales production and transitions from an early stage business into a broader commercial operation. The partnership aims to accelerate market penetration and consolidate the brand presence across domestic and international retail channels.
