Machine Discovery secures £4.5m from BGF and East Innovate to expand engineering and business teams.
The investment round was led by BGF and East Innovate to drive commercial adoption of the company simulation platform.
Machine Discovery builds software that uses machine learning to accelerate compute-intensive simulations and optimisation tasks. Its platform helps reduce product development cycles across sectors such as semiconductor design.
Oxford-based software developer Machine Discovery has secured £4.5m in a funding round led by BGF and East Innovate. The capital will be deployed to expand the company's engineering and business development teams in both the UK and the United States, supporting the commercial rollout of its simulation technology.
The round also drew participation from Foresight WAE Technology Funds, the UK Innovation and Science Seed Fund, and Oxford Technology. Machine Discovery applies machine learning to speed up resource-intensive computations, with initial commercial focus on analog semiconductor design.
