Loby is a London based startup that has built a mobile application helping Generation Z users find apartments and group roommates to lower rental costs.
London based startup Loby has secured £377k in pre seed funding from backers including SFC Capital and Spitzhorli Invest. The company was established by university students to help Generation Z renters navigate steep housing costs by finding roommates and booking properties as a group.
The founders conceived the platform after facing last minute tenant cancellations during their studies. They built the application while completing their degrees, subsequently generating viral traction on social media channels such as TikTok and Instagram.
The newly raised capital will support the company as it seeks to scale its rental platform, which aims to function as an Airbnb equivalent for the long term rental market.
