Livingbridge raises £1.2bn for Fund 7 to back entrepreneurial businesses
The private equity firm has closed its largest fund to date with backing from a global investor base.
Livingbridge is a mid-market private equity investor operating across the UK, the US, and Australia. The firm targets entrepreneurial businesses valued up to £300m.
Livingbridge has secured £1.2bn for its seventh flagship fund, marking the firm's largest capital raise to date and nearly doubling the size of its predecessor. The vehicle drew commitments from a global network of existing backers alongside new institutional partners from the UK, Europe, the US, the Middle East, Asia, and Latin America.
The new fund will deploy equity tickets of up to £150m into entrepreneurial companies with enterprise values reaching £300m. Operations will focus primarily on the UK alongside targeted deployment from the firm's international offices in Melbourne and Boston to support cross-border expansion and mergers.
The capital pool has already completed its debut transaction by funding the merger of Australian healthcare providers Better Medical and SmartClinics. Livingbridge plans to maintain its traditional sectoral focus across services, technology, consumer markets, healthcare, and education over the five-year deployment window.
