The social cycling application has closed a new funding round from professional athletes to support its upcoming development phase.
Link My Ride operates a social cycling platform designed to connect riders and facilitate group ride organisation. The mobile application functions as a dedicated portal for clubs to manage memberships and communicate with members.
Link My Ride has secured financial backing from a group of prominent figures in professional sport, including Formula 1 driver Valtteri Bottas and professional cyclists Daryl Impey, Tiffany Cromwell and Ryan Gibbons. The newly acquired capital will be directed towards supporting the platform through its next developmental phases and strengthening its leadership expertise.
The infusion of capital follows a series of recent platform updates, such as the introduction of a route creation tool and integrated messaging features. The company also recently partnered with Flanders Classics to organise public events surrounding the Tour of Flanders.
The funding marks another milestone for the platform, which serves both individual cyclists looking to connect locally and established clubs seeking to expand their community reach.
