Light Trace Photonics has secured £600k in its first investment round, led by QantX Ventures, to fund the development of its LightCraft photonic chip platform. The fresh capital will drive the launch of the component access platform, which aims to accelerate product development across the quantum, communications, and photonic processing sectors.
The Bristol-based firm builds on its existing hardware product, the LightPort evaluation board, to provide engineers with access to validated photonic components. The company states that combining LightCraft with LightPort will allow businesses to test concepts rapidly and reduce time-to-market.
