The financing round was led by Barclays and includes participation from BCI Finance.
Liberis operates an embedded business finance platform that supplies revenue-based funding solutions to small enterprises via global partners. Founded in 2007 and headquartered in London, the platform uses data-driven risk profiling to deliver flexible capital.
Liberis has secured £140m in financing from Barclays Bank PLC and BCI Finance to support its international expansion and growth strategy over the next two years. The capital will also be applied to scale the company platform and deliver flexible finance solutions through global partners. This transaction follows a previous investment round led by Barclays in late 2021, and brings the total funds raised by the business to £350m.
From the founder
"This is a great opportunity for Liberis to continue helping SME growth across the globe, especially in such uncertain times that have been brought upon us by the COVID-19 pandemic. This funding will be crucial to supporting our partners in funding their SME customers to close the ever-expanding global funding gap."
