LDC makes significant investment in Kick ICT to accelerate UK-wide expansion.
LDC has acquired a stake in the Scottish IT services provider, facilitating an exit for BGF.
Kick ICT is a Scottish IT managed service provider delivering business-critical technology, communications, and digital transformation solutions. The company supports over one thousand customers with specialized finance software, cloud infrastructure, and technical support.
Private equity firm LDC has acquired a stake in Kick ICT to support the Scottish managed service provider as it pursues further expansion across the United Kingdom. The transaction provides an exit for growth capital investor BGF, which had held a stake in the business since 2021.
Based in Bellshill, Kick ICT provides business-critical technology and cloud services to more than one thousand clients. The fresh capital will be directed toward scaling the company through targeted acquisitions, with a particular focus on complementary operators in Scotland and the North of England.
LDC backed the existing leadership team, which includes chief executive Tom O'Hara and group sales director Alan Turnbull. The investment was managed by a team from LDC including Lee Donaldson, Aaron Lawson-Clark, and Emma Borrie.
