Kidcrowd secures £30k pre seed investment from Caroline Freeman to accelerate platform growth
Private investor Caroline Freeman has backed the Yorkshire gifting platform in a deal valuing the business at £200k.
Kidcrowd operates an online gifting platform that allows relatives and friends to pool funds for children while encouraging sustainable spending habits. The Yorkshire based enterprise aims to cut down on toy waste and impart financial literacy to younger generations.
Yorkshire based start up Kidcrowd has secured £30k in pre seed funding from private investor Caroline Freeman. The capital injection values the digital gifting platform at £200k.
Founded by Melissa Roberts, Kidcrowd provides a service that enables family and friends to contribute towards larger gifts for children, cutting down on unwanted plastic toys and landfill waste. The fresh funding will be directed towards enhancing the platform and developing new technology alongside marketing efforts to attract consumers.
The business is currently preparing to launch a mobile application by the end of 2021 as part of its expansion into the financial services and ecommerce sectors.
