QIMA led the pre-seed round, which included participation from four minority investors.
Kavida operates an order management platform that assists manufacturers and retailers in identifying and mitigating supply chain risks. The London-based firm uses artificial intelligence to streamline procurement execution and enhance operational resilience.
London startup Kavida has secured £300k in pre-seed funding led by QIMA. The round was also joined by minority backers Sri Sharma, Pradeep Menon, Rohan Haldea and the PDS Multinational Group.
The capital will support the company as it develops its digital twin platform, which analyses live public data to help enterprises manage exogenous supply chain risks across sectors including apparel, retail and pharma.
From the founder
"The past 18 months have shown the vulnerabilities in global supply chains. Whether its climate change, political unrest or COVID-19, supply chain disruptions are increasing in frequency and severity. Enterprises need to ensure resiliency but they’re in a catch 22 situation – cost efficient supply chains are vulnerable ones. The good news is that technology can help without compromising competitiveness’"
