JECO secures £960k in pre-seed funding from the British Business Bank and Games Angels to scale its developer toolset
The pre-seed round was led by the British Business Bank and the Games Angels to advance product development and drive commercial expansion.
JECO provides an automated toolset for video games software developers and digital creatives to streamline development and optimise performance. Its technology collects performance data and fixes flaws across hardware and network resources.
JECO has raised £960k in a pre-seed funding round led jointly by the British Business Bank and the Games Angels. The fresh capital will be deployed primarily to accelerate the development of the company's energy dashboard monitoring app, which is scheduled for release in the final quarter of 2025. Furthermore, the investment will support expanded sales and marketing operations as the business scales its industry offering.
Co-founded by Emily Bailey and Simon Barratt, the London-headquartered firm provides an automated SDK designed to profile and resolve technical issues across CPU, GPU, RAM, and network usage. The platform also features real-time energy and carbon insights aimed at helping studios manage costs and environmental impact during production. Recent leadership additions include CTO Colin Riley and COO Nickie Whitfield.
From the founder
"JECO was born out of the belief that if developers are given frictionless ways to improve and enhance their development processes, they can find quicker, cost effective routes to market, and can also start to play an important role in addressing wider environmental issues that may impact our industry in the future. I am incredibly grateful to all our investors for supporting us in our mission; to support developers in making positive behavioural changes through the power of technology."

Investor perspective
"Software development is fundamentally flawed. It’s built fast and on tight budgets, where performance is an afterthought, and is costly and time-consuming to fix. I thought Emily and Simon were building an incredibly strong team around an idea that addresses this, and simply makes so much sense, so it was a fairly easy choice to invest. What they have already achieved is phenomenal and I think JECO will have a great impact over the next few years."
