Iventis secures £1.5m from Mercia Ventures to expand event software and create jobs
The funding round was backed by Mercia Ventures and its EIS funds via the Midlands Engine Investment Fund.
Iventis provides an online events planning platform that integrates maps, architectural drawings and satellite imagery for collaborative use. The company has supported major international gatherings including the Commonwealth Games and the World Cup.
Lincoln-based event software provider Iventis has secured £1.5m in new funding to expand its technology and create approximately six jobs. The investment was led by Mercia Ventures through the MEIF Proof of Concept and Early Stage Fund alongside Mercia's EIS funds.
Founded by Joe Cusdin after his work on the London 2012 Olympic Games, the company offers a collaborative digital platform for managing complex, multi-layered events. Its software has previously been utilised for high-profile projects such as the Birmingham Commonwealth Games, the World Cup and the Dubai Expo.
The latest capital injection brings the firm's total funding raised to date past £2.1m. Management intends to use the resources to reach a broader audience of event planners and strengthen the Lincoln-based team.
