Intellegens secures £1.6m grant from Innovate UK to advance oligonucleotide manufacturing.

Cambridge-based Intellegens provides machine learning software designed to help industrial research and development teams make sense of sparse data.
Intellegens has secured a £1.6m grant from Innovate UK to apply its machine learning technology to the manufacture of oligonucleotide therapeutics. The two-year project will be carried out in collaboration with the CPI Medicines Manufacturing Innovation Centre and other life science organisations.
The funding will support the validation of the company's Alchemite software to improve productivity, yields, and quality control in the production of complex therapeutic molecules. Partners including major pharmaceutical firms will contribute expertise to the collaborative initiative.
The company was founded in 2017 and offers industrial R&D teams tools to handle sparse datasets across materials science and manufacturing.
