Intechnica secures £2.9m from Mercia and NPIF to fund international expansion
The funding round was led by NPIF - Mercia Equity Finance to support the growth of the Netacea cyber security division.
Intechnica is a Manchester-based technology business that provides digital transformation, consultancy services, and cyber security protection through its Netacea division. The firm employs around 80 staff and serves major retail clients.
Intechnica has closed a £2.9m funding round to support its international expansion and growth plans. The investment was led by NPIF - Mercia Equity Finance with a £2m contribution, alongside £750k from Mercia Technologies and £100k from existing private backers.
The proceeds will be directed towards expanding the cyber security division, Netacea, across the UK, North America and other overseas markets, while also scaling up the firm's consultancy operations.
Mercia has maintained a backing relationship with Intechnica since 2014, supporting the company as it develops its technical due diligence, data science, and bot mitigation services.
