Insight Surgery raises $2.5m in Series A funding to expand US operations

Insight Surgery provides digital surgical planning tools and 3D-printed guides to improve orthopaedic procedures. The company operates an ISO-certified manufacturing facility in Houston to supply patient-specific medical devices.
Insight Surgery has secured $2.5m in Series A funding led by Nodenza Venture Partners to expand its footprint across the United States. The company provides digital surgical planning software and bespoke 3D-printed guides designed to shorten operating times and lower complication rates.
The fresh capital will support the establishment of two new manufacturing facilities on the East and West Coasts of the US. In addition, the company plans to double its American workforce to drive further research, development, and production capabilities.
The funding follows recent US regulatory clearance for the company portfolio of patient-specific surgical guides. Insight Surgery aims to broaden its technological applications beyond orthopaedics into maxillofacial and oncology procedures.
