The Liverpool City Region initiative has backed the surgical simulator developer with £100k to drive overseas exports and scale manufacturing.
Inovus Medical develops surgical training technologies, including its recently launched LapAR laparoscopic simulator designed to support distance learning.
Inovus Medical has secured £100k in grant funding from the LCR Future Innovation Fund to accelerate market access in key overseas territories and expand its manufacturing capacity. The capital will support further product development for the LapAR laparoscopic simulator, introducing distance learning features and e-commerce integration.
The proceeds will also fund the creation of a dedicated commercial team on the ground in the United States to secure a foothold in North America. Additionally, the financing will enable the acquisition of new manufacturing equipment to meet rising operational demands driven by international exports.
