Inotec AMD develops medical technology for wound therapy, offering a device that generates pure humidified oxygen to treat complex chronic wounds. The business supplies healthcare providers and the NHS across multiple international markets.
Inotec AMD has raised £7m in a Series A funding round led by Praetura Capital. The investment also drew participation from Boundary Capital Partners, Amadeus Capital Partners, Puhua Capital, and a group of angel investors.
The company has created a medical device named NATROX Oxygen, which produces pure humidified oxygen to assist with the treatment of various chronic wounds, including diabetic and venous ulcers. Following positive clinical trials, the business intends to use the capital to expand its presence across international markets such as the US, Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.
From the founder
"The UK alone spends £3.1bn on treating chronic wounds each year, while the US spends $50bn. Add to this the significant escalation in costs, not to mention the considerable distress to patients and families if the only course of treatment for non-healing wounds is amputation. It’s clear that there’s a real need for innovation in this area."
