Ingenious Audio secures a six figure investment from Kelvin Capital and Scottish Enterprise
The funding will support the commercialisation of the firm's patented Wi-Fi audio technology.
Formed in 2010 and based in Edinburgh with design teams in Glasgow, Ingenious Audio develops patented Wi-Fi audio technology. The firm specialises in high performance wireless audio solutions for live music, gaming, and virtual reality applications.
Edinburgh based Ingenious Audio has secured a six figure investment from existing backers including Kelvin Capital and Scottish Enterprise. The capital will enable the firm to evolve from a product focused company into a broad technology platform provider.
The financing supports the commercialisation of the company's patented Fi-Live technology, which provides high quality, long range audio transmission over standard Wi-Fi systems. Alongside the funding, the business has brought in industry veteran Steve McMahon to lead commercial activities as it targets new applications in wireless TV speakers, gaming, and virtual reality.
