InferSens raises £870k in pre-seed funding led by RO Capital Partners to launch its liquid sensing technology.
RO Capital Partners led the pre-seed round, which will fund commercialisation and growth efforts.
InferSens develops artificial intelligence and machine learning liquid sensors to monitor pipe flow non-invasively. The technology offers a cost-effective solution for automating resource management and compliance checks.
InferSens has secured £870k in a pre-seed funding round led by RO Capital Partners, with additional participation from the Oxford Innovation Fund and Bruce Melizan. The capital will be deployed to support business growth and bring the company's sensing technology to market. The funding follows widespread manual monitoring challenges in building management, particularly regarding compliance checks for Legionella bacteria in water systems.
The company's non-invasive sensor technology attaches directly to pipes of any size, offering live data streams through integrated machine learning and Internet of Things applications. By automating flow and temperature tracking, the business aims to reduce manual testing overheads and improve environmental sustainability for property owners.
