Indra has secured over £20m in a Series B funding round led by Gulf Oil International. The Worcestershire-based electric vehicle charging and smart energy technology firm will deploy the capital to advance its bidirectional charging capabilities and expand its market presence.
Founded in 2013, the company produces smart EV chargers and commercial vehicle-to-grid systems designed to allow power to flow between vehicles, homes, and the national grid. The fresh funds will support international expansion, customer growth, and the continued development of its hardware and software platforms.
The investment arrives as the company prepares for large-scale trials of its vehicle-to-home technology. Backers aim to capitalise on growing demand for sustainable energy infrastructure and vehicle-integrated power storage.
