Idio is a content intelligence platform that personalises online content for individual readers to drive customer engagement.

Idio has secured £1.5m in equity funding, supported by investment platform VentureFounders and existing backers including Notion Capital. The company plans to use the capital to accelerate its growth across the UK and US markets.

Founded by Andrew Davies and Edward Barrow, idio provides content intelligence technology that predicts customer interests and intent to improve marketing effectiveness. The platform has already attracted a roster of prominent international clients, particularly within the financial services sector, such as JP Morgan and Direct Line Group.

The latest raise builds on existing venture backing and aims to capitalise on rising demand for tools that bridge the gap between sales and marketing teams.

From the founder

"We have found a unique way of helping large enterprises deliver effective customer experiences, and this round of fundraising will be critical to drive our growth in the UK and US. We chose VentureFounders to support part of this fundraise because the team really understand the kind of fundraise we are doing, understand our value proposition for financial services businesses and have experience in working with VC backed companies."
