Hiphops provides a low-code software platform that automates release administration and change analysis for engineering teams. The company is designed to meet security requirements across regulated industries such as fintech and crypto.

London-based Hiphops has secured $3.5m in a pre-seed funding round to emerge from stealth. The investment was co-led by firstminute Capital and Seedcamp, with additional participation from Tiny VC, RLC Ventures, and several angel investors including Matt Robinson, Will Neale, and Jack Kleeman.

The capital will support the ongoing development of the company platform, which automates reviews, release notes, and change analysis to streamline software deployment for regulated sectors. Hiphops was established by Tom Manterfield, Yang Li, and Michelle Arnold to address administrative bottlenecks in the development lifecycle.

The round follows early traction with clients including a US fintech unicorn and a multinational insurer. The company enters the market as engineering departments increasingly seek ways to eliminate manual overhead between completed code and live deployment.

From the founder

"Hiphops saves engineering teams time and money by automating away themanual effort that exists between code complete and code delivered, starting with MLchange analysis, automated labelling and automated approvals. All tech teams haveexperienced the frustration of having finished the code but not the job "
