Highway Data Systems secures £1.3m from Maven to scale automated road testing technology.
Maven Capital Partners led the investment to support international expansion and product development.
Highway Data Systems develops automated roadside quality assurance technologies for the road construction and asphalt sectors. The company combines proprietary hardware, embedded electronics and software to streamline testing processes.
Highway Data Systems has secured £1.3m in funding from the Investment Fund for Scotland, managed by Maven Capital Partners and delivered via the British Business Bank. The capital will support the company as it advances product development, fulfils new contracts, and scales its operations in the US market.
Based in Glasgow, the firm builds automated quality assurance systems designed to replace manual testing on hazardous road construction sites. The investment marks the first deployment through the Greater Glasgow Innovation Cluster initiative.
