Handshaik operates an artificial intelligence platform designed to streamline deal origination and market research for professionals. The company compiles and analyses data on millions of British firms to help users identify and nurture business opportunities.

Handshaik has secured £1.7m in pre-seed funding to develop its deal origination platform. The capital was provided by a group of more than 20 angel investors.

Founded by Joshua Port after his experience in mergers and acquisitions at KPMG, the London-based startup builds analyst-grade profiles of British companies using artificial intelligence and automated workflows. The firm spent 15 months in stealth before launching earlier this year, compiling millions of company profiles and attracting hundreds of users.

The fresh capital will support the company as it expands its market reach and continues to refine its proprietary data layer, which aggregates information from official filings, company websites, and news sources to assist accountants and corporate finance teams.
