Gracia develops volumetric video infrastructure using 4D Gaussian Splatting for virtual and augmented reality applications.
London-based Gracia has secured $1.7m in funding from backers including EWOR to expand its engineering team and accelerate production tool development. The round follows an earlier $1.2m raise in 2024 as the startup developed its dynamic 4D Gaussian Splatting technology for standalone headsets. The company now provides an end-to-end pipeline supporting real-time playback across various devices.
From the founder
"Earlier versions struggled with fast, complex motion, either requiring an excessive number of Gaussians or producing visible artifacts. Our latest release finally solves this: even footage captured at 50fps can now be played back in ultra-smooth slow motion with minimal artifacts, while preserving fine details. This makes 4DGS viable for high-demand use cases like sports and film."
