Gousto secures USD$150m in equity and debt financing led by SoftBank Vision Fund 2 at a USD$1.7bn valuation.
SoftBank Vision Fund 2 led the equity investment with additional debt financing provided by HSBC and Barclays.
Gousto provides a recipe box delivery service in the UK, offering weekly rotating menus powered by automated technology and data insights. The company holds B Corp certification and focuses on reducing food waste.
Recipe box provider Gousto has raised USD$150m in a fresh funding round, comprising USD$100m in primary equity and USD$50m in debt financing. SoftBank Vision Fund 2 led the equity portion of the raise, which values the business at USD$1.7bn, while HSBC and Barclays provided the debt capital.
The capital injection follows a strong trading period for the business and will be directed towards expanding operational capacity and technology infrastructure. The funds support the establishment of a fifth automated fulfilment centre near Birmingham to accommodate rising consumer demand.
Alongside its operational expansion, the company continues to align its financing with environmental targets, including sustainability linked loan terms with its banking partners. The business currently operates several automated facilities across England and maintains a growing menu choice for subscribers.
