The investment round was led by Perwyn, BGF, MMC Ventures and Joe Wicks to support technology expansion and fulfilment capacity.
Gousto provides a recipe box delivery service in the UK, offering weekly rotating menus powered by automated technology and data insights. The company holds B Corp certification and focuses on reducing food waste.
Recipe box provider Gousto has raised £33m in a Series F funding round led by Perwyn, BGF, MMC Ventures and Joe Wicks. The latest injection of capital brings the company total funds raised to over £130m over the past eight years.
The business plans to direct the new capital towards scaling its technology capabilities, including the expansion of its London-based tech team, accelerating product innovation like next-day delivery, and increasing fulfilment capacity. The company has seen significant scaling with over 4m meals delivered monthly to UK households.
The round follows surging demand for online grocery delivery amid coronavirus restrictions. Alongside commercial operations, the firm has engaged with DEFRA on pandemic response efforts and supported foodbank networks.
