Gousto delivers pre-proportioned ingredients and recipes directly to customers for home cooking. The business operates a subscription model featuring weekly menu updates.
Gousto has secured a secondary placing of $230m, led by existing backer SoftBank Vision Fund 2. The transaction follows a $150m primary capital raise in January which valued the business at $1.7bn.
Additional participants in the round include Fidelity International, Grosvenor Food & AgTech, and pension fund Railpen. The capital supports the company as it continues to scale its online recipe box delivery service.
Gousto operates as a Certified B Corporation, utilising proprietary technology for warehouse optimisation and recipe forecasting. The firm highlights independent research showing its model generates lower carbon emissions and food waste compared to traditional supermarket shopping.
