Gophr operates a same-day delivery marketplace that connects businesses and consumers with independent couriers across the UK. The company uses data-driven routing and courier incentives to improve logistics performance.

London-based delivery provider Gophr has secured £4m in a Series A funding round led by Nauta Capital. The company plans to use the capital to strengthen its core product through improved user experience and customisation options while scaling its marketplace operations across the UK.

Surging demand during the pandemic accelerated the firm's revenue growth by 300 percent over a twelve-month period. Gophr currently operates across major British cities, handling shipments for notable consumer brands including HelloFresh, Boots, and Co-op.

From the founder

"With all the hype around drones and autonomous vehicles, people forget – or never really understood – that the delivery business, particularly last-mile, is still a people business. Because better couriers deliver better outcomes our focus has been creating a platform that enables each courier to perform ‘better’."

Investor perspective

"As customers, we all have high expectations of last-mile delivery, and yet we barely ever get the experience we want. Missing a delivery, couriers not being able to find your address, inflexible delivery times and slots, all seem outdated in the 21st century."
