London-based energy challenger Fuse Energy has secured a valuation of $5bn following a new funding event, building on rapid customer acquisition and surging annual recurring revenue. The company, launched in 2022 by former Revolut executives Alan Chang and Charles Orr, has scaled swiftly to surpass 150,000 customers.
Backed by investors including Lowercarbon Capital and Balderton, the supplier has leveraged technology-led principles to modernise household utilities. The latest milestone arrives only five months after the company achieved unicorn status.
Fuse aims to challenge legacy providers by lowering consumer bills and bringing greater transparency to the energy market.
