Freetrade raises £50m Series B investment led by Left Lane Capital to drive European expansion
Left Lane Capital led the round with participation from L Catterton and Draper Esprit.
Freetrade is an investment platform providing retail investors with access to global stock markets through proprietary brokerage technology. The company focuses on low-cost investing and financial education.
Freetrade has secured £50m in a Series B funding round led by New York growth equity firm Left Lane Capital. Additional participation came from The Growth Fund of L Catterton and Draper Esprit, alongside the company's existing community of individual shareholders. The capital will be deployed to accelerate international expansion across Europe and scale product development.
The fresh funding follows a period of notable commercial momentum for the platform, which has surpassed 600,000 customers in the UK and recorded quarterly trade volumes exceeding £1bn. Final completion of the transaction remains subject to regulatory approval from the Financial Conduct Authority.
