FLIT raises £1.2m from ACF Investors and Cambridge Angels to scale e-bike production
The Cambridge-based engineering firm secured backing from ACF Investors, Cambridge Angels, and Tony Purnell to ramp up manufacturing of its M2 model.
FLIT is a Cambridge-based engineering company that designs and manufactures lightweight folding electric bicycles for urban commuters.
Cambridge-based urban mobility company FLIT has secured £1.2m in fresh funding from backers including ACF Investors, Cambridge Angels, and Tony Purnell. The capital will be deployed to accelerate production of the company's M2 model at its local manufacturing facility.
Founded in 2016 by former automotive engineers, FLIT builds its folding e-bikes from the ground up using aerospace-grade adhesive bonding rather than traditional welding. This latest injection of capital follows a previous Innovate UK grant and supports ongoing deliveries to customers across the UK.
The investment arrives as the global market for folding electric bicycles continues to expand amid rising demand for sustainable urban transport solutions.
