An artificial intelligence platform delivering financial crime compliance and risk management software for banks and fintech companies worldwide.
Flagright has secured $12.5m in a Series A financing round led by Infinity Ventures. The capital injection also saw participation from Sella Direct Ventures alongside existing backers Frontline Ventures and Y Combinator.
The London and San Francisco based startup provides compliance technology encompassing transaction monitoring, watchlist screening, and case management to more than 100 institutions across 35 countries. The freshly secured funds will be deployed to accelerate expansion within the United States market and further develop artificial intelligence capabilities for investigative workflows and alert intelligence.
The business was founded in 2022 by Baran Ozkan and Madhu Nadig after encountering legacy compliance systems that failed to meet operational demands. Today the company employs approximately 40 staff as it competes against established compliance providers in a rapidly expanding sector.
From the founder
"The competency of a financial institution is not building financial crime technology. It’s such a complex, T-shaped domain. That’s why I decided to start the company myself,"
