Fieldwork Robotics secures £515k grant to accelerate its BerryBot Project

Cambridge-based Fieldwork Robotics develops autonomous harvesting robots equipped with soft robotic arms and artificial intelligence to assist soft fruit growers.
Fieldwork Robotics has secured a £515k grant from the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and UK Research and Innovation to drive its BerryBot Project. The funding will support the company in advancing the hardware and software capabilities of its Alpha harvesting robot.
The initiative will be delivered in partnership with Performance Projects and the Hall Hunter Partnership, with field trials scheduled on commercial berry farms. The project aims to deliver a commercially viable robotic harvesting service to UK raspberry producers by 2025.
