Farmdrive secures £1m pre-seed funding to scale its livestock data platform

Northern Ireland agri-tech firm farmdrive has secured £1m in pre-seed funding to accelerate its expansion across the UK and Europe. The round was led by TechStart Ventures and Ascension Ventures, with additional participation from Angel Invest.

The fresh capital will be deployed to drive product development, make new hires, and scale operations internationally. Founded in 2023 by Gareth McDonald and Gareth Gordon, the company provides livestock tracking and supply chain transparency platforms used by over 1,000 farms.
