EyeBio is a clinical stage ophthalmology biotechnology company developing therapies for sight threatening eye diseases. The firm operates across the United States and the United Kingdom.

Ophthalmology biotechnology firm EyeBio has secured an additional £52m in a Series A extension round to advance its clinical pipeline. The financing featured participation from new backers Bain Capital Life Sciences, Omega Funds and Vertex Ventures HC, alongside returning investors.

The capital injection coincides with the completion of patient enrollment for the Multiple Ascending Dose phase of the AMARONE clinical trial for the company lead asset, Restoret. EyeBio intends to direct the proceeds toward accelerating its development programme and expanding its retinal disease pipeline.
