Extend Robotics has secured £345k in a funding round backed by members of Henley Business Angels. The capital will be directed towards expanding the firm's development team through new hires in sales, robotics engineering, and cloud development operations.
The company has developed an immersive software interface that pairs consumer virtual reality headsets with robotic arms. Its Advanced Mechanics Assistance System allows non-specialist operators to control robots remotely via internet connections, targeting industries such as nuclear decommissioning, oil and gas, and mining.
