Exscientia is a clinical stage pharmatech company that uses artificial intelligence to design patient based drugs. The company operates an automated platform to advance precision medicines from target identification to clinical trials.

Exscientia has raised £49m in a Series C financing round led by Novo Holdings, with continued participation from existing backers Evotec, Bristol Myers Squibb, and GT Healthcare Capital. The newly secured capital will support the expansion of the company pipeline, the progression of advanced projects into clinical trials, and the scaling of its American operations.

The firm has made significant progress in deploying automated systems to reduce timelines from target identification to candidate selection. Recent milestones include advancing an artificial intelligence designed molecule into human clinical trials within twelve months, alongside forming broad partnerships across the pharmaceutical sector.
