Evince Technology raises £750k in equity financing to advance diamond electronics

The funding round was backed by business angels and private investors, including a £189k allocation on SyndicateRoom.

£750K

Evince Technology is a developer of synthetic diamond electronic devices based in the United Kingdom.

Evince Technology has secured £750k in a new equity funding round backed by business angels and private investors, with a portion of the capital raised via SyndicateRoom. The round closed successfully after exceeding its initial target by £100k.

The capital, combined with a previous £230k grant from Innovate UK, will be used to advance the company's technology development programme and protect its intellectual property through patent expansion.

Lead investor James Morton noted the potential for synthetic diamond electronics to outpace silicon devices significantly across multiple sectors. Chairman Phil Cammerman described the raise as a key milestone following the company's 2013 restructuring.

From the founder

"This latest funding round is a major milestone in the company’s development. It is the largest new investment since Evince restructured its business in 2013 and a significant endorsement for the company’s strategy and technology. Our aim is to work more closely with partners across a wide range of target applications where we believe our novel diamond technology has the potential to deliver the quantum leap in performance over silicon that the industry is urgently looking for."
