The pre-seed round was backed by angel investors and a Crowdcube campaign featuring 400 participants.
Etcho develops a mobile application that allows retail investors to assess the environmental and social impact of their portfolios. The platform uses the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals to align investment choices with personal values.
Etcho has raised £279k in a pre-seed funding round to support the development of its sustainable investment application. The capital was secured through a combination of angel investors and a crowdfunding campaign on Crowdcube that attracted 400 participants. The fresh funds will allow the team to bring the platform to market as younger investors increasingly seek transparency regarding the real-world impact of their financial portfolios.
From the founder
"Recently, We’ve seen more and more people entering the stock market or starting their investing journey. However, there’s currently no way for everyday investors to ensure their investments aren’t harming the things they care about. We want to ensure anyone who wants to understand the impact of their investments can and has the power to make conscious decisions through access to information"
