London-based generative AI startup helping retailers and sellers optimise visual and written listings for AI search.

London-based Ecomtent has secured $1.4m in funding to support its generative AI platform for ecommerce search. The round was led by MaRS IAF, with participation from Twinpath, Techstars x eBay Ventures, and various industry angels.

Founded in 2022 by former Amazon executive Max Sinclair and machine learning researcher Timur Luguev, the company builds tools to help online retailers optimise their product listings for AI-driven discovery. Its technology generates intent-based matching content at scale, aiming to replace traditional keyword search strategies.

The fresh capital will enable the startup to expand its operations and further develop its product offering as consumer shopping habits shift towards AI-powered platforms.
