Air quality specialist EarthSense has secured grant funding from Innovate UK to deliver a partnership project focused on pollution management in Wolverhampton. The initiative aims to develop new digital applications and web portals that provide live and forecast pollution data for local authorities and citizens.
Named LiVETAP, the project involves collaboration with two universities and Wolverhampton City Council. The resulting services will utilise EarthSense datasets alongside real-time data from Zephyr sensors deployed across the city to help guide traffic management and personal exposure decisions.
Following the trial period in Wolverhampton, the company intends to make the platform accessible to local authorities across England. The funding will support the delivery of this environmental health project.
